Emerson Health names Wasserstrom to top strategy role

Weston resident Rachel Wasserstrom was recently named senior vice president of strategy and chief strategy officer at Emerson Health. Wasserstrom will lead the organization’s strategic planning, business development and partnerships to drive long-term growth and support Emerson’s mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Wasserstrom brings more than two decades of health care leadership experience across academic medical centers and community health systems. She most recently served as chief administrative officer at Tufts Medical Center’s faculty practice, where she led ambulatory operations, care delivery innovation, and initiatives to improve access, productivity, and patient experience. Her previous leadership roles span Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is currently associate director for the clinical service operations program at Harvard Medical School and a course director, teaching Harvard Medical School postgraduate students.

Wasserstrom holds an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.
