Hearing Notice
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Appeals of the Town of Weston will hold a public hearing on April 13, 2026 at 6 pm on a request by 269 North Ave, LLC regarding 269 North Avenue (Map 8, Parcel 63) requesting changes to the Comprehensive Permit issued by the Zoning Board of Appeals on 5/13/17. Proposed changes include blasting on the site and the replacement of a stone wall. WESTON CONSERVATION COMMISSION
Notice of Reopened Public Hearing
Pursuant to Mass General Laws, Chapter 131, Section 40, Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and Article XVI of the Town of Weston General Bylaws, Wetlands Protection Bylaw, the Weston Conservation Commission will reopen a Public Hearing on April 14th, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. on a Notice of Intent for 95 Sylvan Ln filed by Fabio’s Construction, Inc for tree and shrub planting, stump grinding, loaming and seeding as mitigation for unapproved tree and vegetation removal within the Buffer Zone, as well as exterior repairs, including reconstruction of an existing deck, house siding, roofing, and windows. The hearing, which was closed on March 3rd, 2026, is being reopened to receive new information and testimony regarding the addition of exterior work to the home. A portion of the proposed work will occur within the 100-foot Buffer Zone to Bordering Vegetated Wetland and the 25-ft No Disturb Zone. INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Town of Weston, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids until 10:00 AM on April 28, 2026, at the Department of Public Works, 190 Boston Post Road By-Pass, Weston, MA, 02493, for Road Resurfacing and Maintenance Programs including road profiling, road reclamation, sidewalk work, and drainage improvements. Bidders may obtain bid documents online at www.weston.org/bids starting April 6, 2026, at 9:00 AM. Every Bid shall be accompanied by cash; a bid bond; or a certified check; or a treasurer’s check; or a cashier’s check; issued by a responsible bank or trust company, made payable to the Town of Weston, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. A performance bond in an amount equal to fifty (50%) percent of the total amount of the contract price with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be required for the faithful performance of the contract, as well as a labor and materials payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the total contract price. All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including, but not limited to G.L. c.30, §39M. Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work of Pavement-Surfacing or Highway-Construction will be required. The initial contract term is for one year. The Town reserves the right to extend the contract for two (2) additional 12-month options. Valuation for purposes of MassDOT Prequalification is based on first year times three (3) to arrive at an estimated total prequal contract value. Contractors who are not prequalified to provide the services listed for the total Prequalification contract value, but meet the single year waiver threshold, without documented poor performance issues, and want to bid, should submit a waiver request at least 2 weeks prior to the bid opening to allow for time to appeal in the event that a waiver is not granted. Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
