Hit and run on Boston Post Road
An 80-year-old Waltham resident was issued a crosswalk violation for striking a pedestrian Tuesday afternoon.

A Weston woman was hit by a car Tuesday, Oct. 7, but suffered no injuries.
The 24-year-old Weston resident was crossing Boston Post Road at the corner of Church Street when she was struck by a 2017 Toyota Highlander, according to police reports. The driver left the scene.
“Luckily, she wasn’t hurt, but the person left, which made the situation different,” said Detective Lt. Michael Forti.
Weston firefighters treated the pedestrian, according to a report from the Weston Police Department. She declined further treatment.
The driver, an 80-year-old Waltham resident, later called the Weston Police Department to say she was involved in the crash. She stated that she did not think she had struck the pedestrian and was too distraught to return to the scene, so Weston police responded to her at home. She was issued a crosswalk violation.
