Weekend lane closure on route 20 westbound

There will be lane closures on Route 20 westbound at the I-95 interchange on Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing weekend work on Route 20 westbound at the I-95 (Route 128) interchange in Weston. The left or right lane of Route 20 westbound will be closed Saturday, Oct. 18 and Sunday, Oct. 19, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Lane taking either right or left side of the roadway will be dependent on weather and contractor progress.

Workers will be performing tasks related to containment installation, heating, and top coat painting of the steel bridge safety railings. The highway ramps will remain open at all times during construction operations.

Signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
