While rain put a damper on Weston’s Memorial Day parade, scores of residents gathered at Town Hall to pay tribute to America’s fallen.
“Honor and Remember,” served as the theme for the town’s annual ceremony, held in the Sears Auditorium at Town Hall. U.S. Marines Col. Derek Oliver hosted the event and outgoing Weston Public Schools Director of Music Chris Memoli served as the honorable speaker.
Other speakers included Westgate Church co-pastor Bruce Daggett and Select Board member Rebecca Mercuri. Weston’s Boy Scout, Girl Scout and Cub Scout troops also participated in the ceremony, which remained at Town Hall due to inclement weather.
