Overnight closure of I-90 ramp Friday night through Saturday

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing overnight closures of the ramp from I-90 eastbound and westbound to I-95 (Route 128) southbound in Newton and Weston. This ramp will be closed Friday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.

Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution.

Drivers seeking to access I-95 (Route 128) southbound from I-90 eastbound and westbound will be rerouted to I-95 (Route 128) northbound, where they can take exit 41 to reverse direction and continue onto I-95 (Route 128) southbound.

MassDOT says the closure is necessary for crews to safely conduct construction operations related to the Newton/Weston bridge rehabilitation project at the I-90/I-95 (Route 128) interchange.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
