Coyote column was refreshing and appreciated

I am writing to commend a recent article by Michael Pappone. The writing was the “Song-dog season is nigh upon us”. I thought it was so beautifully written. I was so pleased to see a positive piece about such a fascinating animal that is all too often given an unfair reputation, condemnation, and cruel treatment.

We live across the street from the Mill Creek Project Site where 172 units are being built on Boston Post Road. Before that project started – before trees were torn to the ground and farm land was destroyed – there were several small families of coyotes. We usually never saw them during the day, but we frequently heard them singing their story at night. However, these families lost their homes and have since left.

The column by Michael Pappone was so refreshing and appreciated by me and I hope many others. With everything going on in the world that is so chaotic today it is a much needed reminder of the nature that still surrounds us.

Thank you to Michael Pappone and the creators of the Weston Observer.
