Welcome to the Weston Observer

Welcome to the launch of the Weston Observer website! This could not have happened without the support of our community. We hope this website and its companion newsletter and weekly newspaper delivered for free to every household in Weston will help bring a new sense of community to this town.

From the very beginning, our volunteer team’s mission has been to develop and deliver independent and trusted journalism that keeps the entire Weston community connected, well-informed, and engaged with thorough, accurate and fair coverage of topics affecting life in our town.

Our hope is that the Weston Observer will become an important part of the life of this town – a forum where we can all go to learn about what’s happening in town, the challenges the town faces and what is on folk’s minds. We hope the Weston Observer will be a place where we will share our news, our expectations, our disappointments, our sorrows, our opinions and our ideas.

Please participate in making the Observer everything it is meant to be. Please send us your news, announcements, ideas and letters.

The Weston Observer would never have come about without the extraordinary efforts of an amazing team of volunteers who worked together tirelessly to learn about what it takes to bring a non-profit community news organization into being, and then tackled all of the details that were needed to make this happen. Thank you all for your dedication and sustained energy and enthusiasm.

Thank you for donating the funds that made it possible to hire a staff and obtain all the technology and assets that we needed to assemble before we could go to press. We hope to live up to our mutual expectations. We promise to do our best to provide robust, balanced, and timely coverage of town government, community issues, and events affecting residents of all ages and interests.
