Patricia Oduor has been appointed pastor of the Weston United Methodist Church.
Oduor, known as Pastor Pat, grew up in Lynnfield, and is a third-generation Methodist, having been involved in church since her grandmother brought her as a toddler. She is the daughter of retired pastor Rev. Ruth Oduor and retired Conference Secretary Ralph Oduor.
“I am filled with excitement to share God’s word and extend God’s love to all of God’s children,” Oduor said. “I look forward to using my gifts in digital marketing and technology to serve in meaningful ways. I am deeply passionate about social justice and love empowering others to witness and serve God. I am truly excited for the next chapter of my journey alongside the community at Weston UMC.”
Oduor graduated from UMass Amherst and worked in financial technology for 25 years. She answered her calling to the ministry in 2016 and served at the East Saugus United Methodist Church from 2019 to 2025. As a bi-vocational pastor, she juggles a full-time job while pastoring. She has three adult daughters: Jessica, Angela and Rebecca.
As part of her commitment to social justice, Oduor provided housing for an Afghan refugee family for two years during their resettlement in the United States. She organized an ecumenical group of volunteers to support the parents and their six children as the family learned English and navigated American culture.
Oduor’s musical talents include singing and playing the piano. She loves all kinds of music, especially classic rock, heavy metal, contemporary Christian and classical. She enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening, walking on the beach and hiking. She shares her appreciation for music, nature and Scripture on her TikTok channel: @pastorpat_
Oduor is dedicated to sharing God’s word and extending God’s love to all through her various gifts as a local pastor. Her passion for ministry and community engagement continues to guide her work and outreach efforts.
