Kathy Gross rejoins Recreation Department

Weston Recreation Department Director Christopher Fitzgerald announced the addition of Kathy Gross to their full-time staff as their new program coordinator.

Gross is no stranger to Weston Recreation, having attended summer camp, then worked as a counselor and camp director over the course of 10 years.

Upon graduating from Arizona State University with a B.A. in Fine Arts, Gross worked as a teen coordinator for the YMCA while continuing with Weston Recreation as a part time program instructor. From there, she spent 13 years with the Waltham Recreation Department where she began and developed the very successful Chill Zone teen program which still thrives today.

Next, she served with Natick Parks and Recreation as the assistant director of resource allocation, coordinating use of fields and facilities among other duties.

Gross is excited to be back in Weston, and will again lead the summer camp program while further developing after school, adult and youth programming options.
